The new musical Ranked (www.RankedMusical.com) with book by Kyle Holmes and music and lyrics by David Taylor Gomes will have industry workshops on Friday, March 20 at 12pm and 4pm at The Daryl Roth Theatre (101 E. 15th Street).
Ranked is set in a dystopian world where your class rank, determined by grades and test scores, governs everything from where you sit to what your future holds.

Award-winning Author to Appear at UC Davis GF Theatre Fest
K.L. Going, the award-winning author of numerous books for children and teens, will participate in a post-show talk back at UC Davis on Thursday, Sept. 26, following the opening night performance of “Fat Kid Rules the World,” a musical adaptation of her first novel.
The free performance is in the Wyatt Pavilion Theatre as part of the Ground and Field Theatre Festival. Reservations can be made at groundandfield.com.
GFTF Features New Works
The third annual Ground and Field Theatre Festival, “Play on the Brink,” spotlights new plays and musicals written by local, national and international playwrights and composers, including Broadway veterans. The main performances take place Thursdays through Saturdays, Sept. 26-28 and Oct. 3-5, on the UC Davis campus and in community venues. All are free.
MEET GUEST ARTIST MATT GUMLEY
22-year-old Matt Gumley is a musician, writer, actor, and Broadway veteran. He first found his way into New York City’s theater scene when he played Chip in “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast “on Broadway at the age of seven, and now he is here with us at Davis as an instrumental part of the hit new punk rock musical, “Fat Kid Rules the World.” Theatre and dance student Noah VanderVeer-Harris, who cast alongside him in the production, sat down with Gumley for the opportunity to pick his brain about theatre, punk rock, and more.
