Submission Information
We currently have rolling submissions and are accepting all scripts.
Catalyst customizes the development process to the needs of each playwright’s new work.
We offer our playwrights:
Table Readings - with or without an audience.
Workshops - rehearsal time to be spent as the author needs
Invited Readings - Book-in-hand performances with or without audience feedback sessions
Productions - A first look at staging with lite production values
Artistic Criteria
Catalyst is committed to excellent, authentic storytelling. We encourage narratives in all forms and on all subjects.
Catalyst accepts musicals, full length, one act, immersive theatre, adaptations, and non-traditional experimental scripts.
Basic Requirements
Previously un-produced. Catalyst considers a play to have been “unproduced” when actors are on book and there was minimal staging (scenery, costumes, and lighting), and have not previously received press coverage. Director, actors, and technicians either volunteered their time or received a small stipend.
Submitting author(s) are the sole owner of script copyright.
Musicals must submit sheet music or recordings.
